ANALISIS STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN USAHA TANI BIJI JAMBU MENTE DI KABUPATEN WONOGIRI JAWA TENGAH
Abstract
The purpose of the research was to identify internal and external factors that influence the development of cashew farming and develop alternative farming development strategies in Wonogiri District. The research was carried out in the Wonogiri Regency Area, precisely in the Districts of Jatisrono and Purwantoro by taking 90 farmers / producers of cashew nuts in a simple random manner. Determination of the marketing institutions involved is carried out with a commodity approach and an institution approach based on information from farmers to whom the commodity is sold until it can be received by consumers commonly called the method ("Snowball Sampling"). The data obtained were analyzed descriptively, mathematically and statistically. The results showed that environmental factors that influence the development of cashew farmers are (1) internal factors include strength: Plant Condition, Number of Family Dependents, Availability of Capital, Efforts to Increase, Value of Production Tools, Age of Farmers, Number of Trees. Weaknesses: Education, Production Costs, Total Workforce, Land Area, Quality of Cashew Seeds, Land Conditions, Seeds. (2) External factors include, Opportunities: Banking Financing, Partnership, Government Attention, Pest Management, How to Harvest, Seed Quality compared to other regions, Marketing Institutions, Highest Profit, Selling Prices. Threats: Immediate Needs, Highest Price Products, Product Forms. The results of the SWOT analysis, the alternative strategy chosen is the SO strategy / aggressive strategy by using the power to take advantage of opportunities, with alternative strategies to increase production and use market opportunities and increase the use and supply of production inputs and suppress the attack of plant disturbing organisms.
