ANALISIS FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI IPM PADA DAERAH TERTINGGAL DI PULAU PAPUA TAHUN 2013 – 2017

Abstract


The area of Eastern Indonesia especially Papua island consist of two provinces, which are Papua and West Papua that has more disadvantaged regions than other islands. The number of disadvantaged regions in Papua island are 33 districts. The aim of this study to determine the factors that affect HDI (Human Development Index) disadvantaged regions because human resources play an important role in success of region’s development and the value of HDI. Regression analysis used panel data with Fixed Effect Model (FEM) from 33 disadvantaged regions of Papua island in 2013-2017. The result of this study is GDP per capita, life expectancy, and school expectation variables have positive and significant effect to HDI in disadvantaged regions of Papua island. The number of poor people’s variable do not have effect to Human Development Index (HDI).
