Abstract

The implementation of the Covid-19 vaccination in Bringinan Village has gone well. The number of people who have been vaccinated has reached around 700 people. This is good evidence that the reception of vaccines in rural communities is quite positive. This is a form of community support for government programs to minimize contracting Covid-19 and to control the rate of increase in Covid-19 cases. PPKM status in Ponorogo has dropped to level 3 in September 2021. Nevertheless, the Ponorogo Covid-19 Handling Task Force continues to carry out Health protocol justice operations (Surya.Co.Id, 2020). Until now (October 2021), Ponorogo's status has become the Yellow Zone. The public has been allowed to carry out their daily activities while still following the Health protocols. This also applies in Bringinan village, Jambon sub-district, Ponorogo. Villagers have returned to their normal activities, but have not yet carried out general and crowding community activities. This also has an impact on the Bringinan Ponorogo Village Public Health program. The Toddler Pyosyandu and Elderly Posyandu have not been allowed to carry out their usual activities. Poskesdes are only allowed to do Posyandu for toddlers 2 times a year, and Posyandu for the elderly once a year. This is at risk for worsening the condition of the elderly related to degenerative diseases and comorbidities. They cannot know their health status on a regular basis. If this lasts longer it will result in a decrease in the quality of life of the elderly in Bringinan village. Therefore, the effort that needs to be done is to create awareness of village health workers starting from the household level through elderly visits, health checks and the distribution of masks and free vitamins. The elderly visit is expected to have a major influence in monitoring and improving the health status of the elderly and as an effort to increase the elderly's immune system in preventing exposure to Covid-19. This article was written based on the UNMUH Ponorogo KKN Health work program in Bringinan Village Wave I which was carried out in October 2021.
