CHARACTER BUILDING HEALTH DANGES IN SPEAKING ACCORDING TO ISLAMIC PERSPECTIVE

Abstract

Character education can be interpreted as moral education / character that is identical with the character and character of the nation. Basically, a nation with character is a nation with good character and good character, not a character that has a standard of norms and not good behavior. Language modesty can be seen from how to communicate with language. Communication procedures do not merely convey ideas, but must submit and follow existing norms / rules in accordance with cultural elements in society. If it violates these norms, it will get a negative assessment from the community and can even be in the form of sanctions in accordance with the cultural rules of each region. The implementation of language politeness in speaking not only for social life only, but Islam has also explained in Al-Qur'an and Hadith. One of them in the Al-Qur'an Al-Ahzab verse 70-71 has been explained about "the right words", meaning the true words are in accordance with the quality of the content, well conveyed, not offensive, not insulting, not vilifying others, etc. . Also mentioned in the hadith from Ibn Mas'ud r.a said: The Prophet said, "A person who is a believer is not a worker who insults “nasab”, is not a worker of cursing, and not a nasty tongue". So, to minimize language impoliteness in speaking requires an effective learning process and refers to the Qur'an and Hadith to produce the next generation of Islamic characters.
