Abstract


Teaching and learning activities should not only be done in conventional ways, such as lecturers lecturing and students listening. Historical learning must have variety in its implementation, the use of media can be one way for teaching and learning activities not monotonous. Because history is the study of the past and historical narratives demand to be explained chronologically. So, the quartet card that contains images of events and historical figures that are conceptualized in accordance with historical and chronological conception is expected to facilitate the delivery of contemporary historical material while learning activities become more active. This is to answer the problem of tendency in the classroom that has been happening so far, where learning is always centered on the teacher (teacher or lecturer) while the role of students is not so dominant.
