Abstract

This study aims to analyze the causal relationship between the business behavior of silver craftsmen in Kotagede with cultural values and analyze the process of inheriting business education values in silver family entrepreneurs, especially in silver entrepreneurs in Kotagede. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection instruments were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data collected was then analyzed using domains, theme analysis techniques, composition, and cultural themes. The findings showed that since the VIII century AD Kotagede was the center of silver souvenirs where many handicraft entrepreneurs such as HS. Silver, Anshor Silver, and Narti Silver have a silver marketing network to foreign countries such as Europe, the Middle East, and America. Silver is one of the most popular souvenirs of the upper-middle class. Yogyakarta Palace Family and Foreign Tourists love handicrafts made of silver which are often made of souvenirs, in this case Kota Gede was made a city of Silver Culture by Yogyakarta Special Region Province. The development of the silver handicraft business is inseparable from the process of inheritance of values and cultures that are descended from a family nature. One example is the HS silver company. Silver has been developing since 1975 and currently the position of President Director at HS Silver is led by Mrs. Sintami (Cucu Ibu Harto), while Mr. Harto is the founder of HS. Silver
