Abstract


The learning of modern Javanese literature faces many challenges in the era of technology that is increasingly rapid today. The rapid flow of technological development will certainly go hand in hand with the impact it has caused. All aspects of human life in this era will be integrated with technology, so that traditional or conventional systems will gradually be abandoned. The world of education also adjusts to existing developments. Learning models by utilizing technology also developed a lot. The ease of accessing information and the more varied methods of learning are the positive impacts that arise from technological developments like today. But the positive impact also goes hand in hand with learning problems still found. This study will describe the problem of learning modern Javanese literature  that is still found and the solution is sought. This research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collected using questionnaires with students who receive Javanese literature courses and literature studies. Based on the results of the study, the problems that arise in literary learning here are divided into five, namely 1) the low interest in reading students; 2) language that is difficult to understand; 3) difficulty  understanding literary theories; 4) Less innovative learning methods and 5) Curricula that have not been accommodated.
