Abstract


Stock split is an action done by a company by splitting stock from one share to n shares to attract more investors to buy shares in the company. This study aims to determine the effect of Price Earning Ratio, Price to Book Value, and stock trading liquidity to the company's decision to do stock split on companies listed on the Stock Exchange period 20142016. This research uses quantitative approach with secondary data. The population used is all companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). Sampling method used is purposive sampling and obtained 60 sample companies consisting of two categories, namely 30 companies that do stock split and 30 companies that do not do stock split. Data analysis technique used is logistic regression analysis. The results of hypothesis testing in this study indicate that the variable Price Earning Ratio and Price to Book Value does not have a significant positive effect on the company's decision to do stock split, while stock trading liquidity has a significant negative effect on the company's decision to do stock split.
