THE EFFECTIVENESS OF INSTAGRAM AS THE MEDIA OF LITERACY EDUCATION FOR ADOLESCENTS

Abstract


Media literacy are things that need to be understood by adolescents in Indonesia. The amount of
television viewing that does not educate, as well as the number of negative content in cyberspace,
further strengthen the argument that media literacy is important to be introduced to teens, for teens
in Indonesia it can be a positive way to sort out what should they watch and what they have to
leave. Instagram as a social media considerable interest among adolescents is considered to have
great potential to convey information to youth about media literacy. The information created
should be attractive and adjust the adolescents.
