STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION OF SCHOOL LITERACY MOVEMENT

Abstract


The aim of this study is to determine the implementation strategy of the school literacy movement. This
study used a qualitative approach. The informants are obtained from SMPN X Ciganjur South Jakarta
that has implemented school literary movement. From this study, it was found that in the school literary
movement, all components should participate and not just fixated towards the teacher but also towards
the entire school community and parents. According to Locke's theory of development, the child will
be affected by their external environment. Therefore, the use of Locke's theory of development by all
school components to actualize the literate school ecosystem is considered appropriate for the school
literacy movement.
