CONTENT VALIDITY OF CHARACTER EDUCATION IN KINDERGARTEN

Abstract


This study aimed to evaluate the content validity for character education in Kindergarten. Content
validity refers to the degree that the instrument covers the content that it is supposed to measure.
This type of validity can help to ensure construct validity and give confidence to the readers about
instruments. Practitioners rated the representation of content based on relevance, construction, and
clarity. Content validity coefficient is calculated using the Aiken’s V formula. The result, of 56
items, those with content validity coefficient greater than 0,76 (50 items) remained and the rest six
(6 items) were discarded.
